The Central Bank of Belize advises the public that it has activated its business continuity plan due to the threat of Hurricane Beryl.
The Central Bank’s headquarters will be closed at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 03 July 2024. The public is also advised that foreign exchange services and online payments via the Bank’s Automated Payments Settlements and Securities System (APSSS) may experience some delays depending on the path of Hurricane Beryl, starting in the afternoon on Thursday, 04 July 2024.
The Central Bank will continue to monitor the situation and will resume normal operations solely on the guidance provided by the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO). We encourage you to be prepared, stay safe, and to rely on credible sources of information in this time.
