What do you do?
I am a Compliance Officer in the Supervision Department. As a Compliance Officer with responsibility for oversight of the Payment System, I am tasked with licensing Payment Service Providers and Operators. This also includes collecting data, processing and analysing data, issuing regulations and standards, licensing and conducting inspections of these sectors.
What part of your work do you most enjoy?
I enjoy that the Payment System ecosystem is dynamic and driven by innovation. It is interesting to work in an area that fosters new methods of financial services in our country.
Why did you want to work for us?
I wanted to work for the Central Bank since it is considered one of the most prestigious jobs in the banking sector. Also, because the Central Bank is known for its reputation and the important role it plays in financial system stability and the wellbeing of Belize.
